About Me
Hi Scott here,
I wrote the Child Custody Battle site because I know what it is like to almost lose your children in a custody war. I’ve been through the battle and I’ve come out a survivor, and my children winners. I hope that this site helps you and your kids have a close relationship.
Thumbs up to the Child Custody Battle site.
I am the father of four wonderful kids. Ha, I say “kids” but two of them are in college and the one can probably take me down wrestling! My two youngest are 9 and 13. I love them all deeply, they are my pride and joy!
Today I have a wonderful relationship with all of my kids but it almost didn’t turn out that way. I remember coming home from work and finding my house virtually empty. Most of the furniture was gone, the TV was gone, and most importantly the kids were gone. All I had were some tears and the dog.
The next couple of months are a nightmare that I hope my kids – and you - never have to live through. I found out that child custody for fathers is something that you have to be educated on and ready to fight for. I found out that “legal custody” means little, that “physical custody” is what matters. I found out that visitation schedules mean nothing unless they are followed and enforced. I found out that knowledge is power.
I remember going to different lawyers and being told that “there is nothing I can do”. I was told by well meaning family lawyers that I would get “standard visitation”, that is was an automatic and nothing could change that. I learned that the judges in child custody cases consider the kids being with the mother “in the best interest of the child”.
I felt defeated, kicked under the bus and outraged that the child custody attorneys I visited had no desire to see my case as a unique case. I was entering a meat grinder and it seemed that the entire legal system, the child custody attorneys, the family court judges, the child support system was set in place to do one thing – quickly and efficiently take my money, give me a standard “one-size-fits-all” visitation, and send me packing to live as contently as possible with the limited time I would spend with my kids!
One sorry attorney told me, as if to do me a favor, that I, “had no chance”, and to understand “that eventually the kids won’t want to see me anyway” – just get on with my life! This was one of the top divorce, child custody lawyers in my area! That’s what you will be facing in your custody battle. That’s why I wrote this site.
Thank God I had the sense to go elsewhere and to learn as much as I could about child custody and child support. I had to fight my case all the way to the State Appellate Court to win justice and I had to educate my lawyer on what the laws were. I along with my wife formed a Father and Step-Parents Rights group that brought the plight of noncustodial parents to the media’s attention. We made waves. You know that you are hitting nerves when the Speaker of the House calls you at home pressing for information. I met many, many fathers, and heard many sad stories of parental alienation, lack of visitation, the fable of “joint legal custody”.
I learned a lot and that is why I am writing this site. I want you to be ready, to be informed about what to expect as you enter your custody battle. That may sound hard but that is what you are in, a war to win your children, a fight to stay a part of their lives. It is the most important thing you can ever do.
I want to help prepare you for the battle, to give you an idea of what lies ahead. I don’t want you to have to spend over $10,000 and countless hours when there are better ways to get the desired results.

Child custody battle long over, headin' to the zoo for some fun. Love the penquins!
I hope that you find the information on the Child Custody Battle site helpful. I am not an attorney and nothing I say here is to be interpreted as legal advice. I am speaking from my experiences only. Good luck winning your child custody battle. Never give up!
